Yet another Australian, Scott James Harrison (44) was arrested by the police on assault charges on Friday. Harrison was detained for beating up three hotel security guards in the Seminyak area.

“The man has been arrested,” said Kuta police inspector, Putu Ika Prabawa when asked for confirmation, Friday (1/11/2019).

From information compiled, Harrison hit three hotel security guards at the entrance of Town Square Bali Hotel, Jalan Nakula, Seminyak, Wednesday (10/30) at around 1am. The three guards were Cristofianus Abukun (51), Juplianus Hanu (26), and Yeremias Hasu (37).

All three were beaten while helping Harrison, who was apparently drunk, get out of a taxi and into the hotel.

“The man entered the hotel in a staggering condition, suspected of being drunk,” said another police source to Jawa Pos.

Seeing he was a hotel guest, the three security guards tried to help. However, possibly because of a misunderstanding, the reported man yelled at them and then smacked the three with his bare fists in the face.

Not accepting this, the three of them immediately reported the incident to the police.

“The victims received a few bruises,” explained Ika.

Harrison has been named a suspect and is being held at Kuta Polsek police station. He has been charged with Article 351 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code with the threat of 2 years and 8 months in prison.
