My experience in BALI ??

Fave place:
Ubud and Kelingking beach in Nusa penida. You can walk down to the most amazing beach I have ever seen, turquoise clear water and white soft sand ? however it is areally steep and busy path down which takes 30 mins each way.
Pros:
cheap!! friendly locals, good brunch places, bars, beach clubs and beaches, very cultural, modern luxury hostels, lots of nature, the best massages! Relaxing and travel between places is majority in land and short
Cons:
No public transport, lots of scooters that drive on the pavement! Traffic is crazy. Constantly being asked if u want a taxi in Kuta/Seminyak ?their money has so many zeros – one million is £60!
Scariest Part:
Someone or something trying to break in our guesthouse in the middle of the night.
I was back to travelling solo and landed in the airport at 11pm, exited the very quiet airport alone and got attacked by 50 male taxi drivers! I ended up getting a fake blue bird taxi with no meter and being ripped off ?
They seem to not believe in locking doors! So majority of the hostels I stayed in there was no locks on the door! However, Kuta and Seminyak are areas you get warned about theives.
There are so many monkeys and I was having my photo taken and a cheeky monkey in ulluwatu temple stole my prescription sun glasses from behind me! They are very clever and naughty Cus they don’t get treated great by the tourists.
I only found out about Bali because it seems o be the most instagrmamble place!
When I think of Bali I think of flowers and scents sticks which were offerings scattered all over the street.
They have uber there called go jek and u can even go on the back of a scooter. I was on the back of a scooter with my 10kg ruck sack and a girls bicycle helmet. It is forbidden in some areas as the government want foreigners to book local taxis.
Bali was my favourite place!!!! I don’t like to go back to the same place but Bali is definitely going to be an exception ? Literally didn’t have enough time here, would have loved to extended it.
